SERVICES

ADHD ASSESSMENTS
I am qualified to assess and diagnose ADHD in adults (over 18 years). I only undertake this work if you are within the Canterbury DHB area. In other regions you will need a pathway for obtaining medication, in which case a private psychiatrist appointment will be more efficient and cost-effective.

ADHD THERAPY
Therapy can be a helpful support tool following diagnosis in order to work through any difficulties that may arise in understanding and/or accepting the diagnosis, or in managing symptoms and related difficulties. The approach and type of therapy are targeted to the specific issue and to you as an individual. I use CBT, ACT, and behavioural approaches.

ADHD AND NUTRITION
There is now enough research evidence to show the importance of nutrients for mental as well as physical well-being. Some studies have found adults with ADHD to be over-represented in individuals low, and possibly deficient in some key nutrients. I can help you to evaluate and improve your nutrition.

MICRONUTRIENT SUPPLEMENTS
The effect of broad-spectrum multinutrients on ADHD symptoms has been studied and found to be helpful for some people. I can provide consultations about this option, although provision of micronutrient supplements also requires liaison with your GP regarding any prescribed medications you may be taking.

ADHD UNLIMITED ONLINE COURSE
ADHD Unlimited is developing an online course to coach you through the education and skills-building you may otherwise get through 1:1 sessions. This will provide you with the same information, but at a much lower cost than the equivalent number of sessions, and at your own convenience and pace.
April 2022 Update: I now have my ADHD Unlimited problem mapping and needs framework handouts available for purchase here
